Don’t Be Moldy

A Knight’s Tale is a story of a pauper born in London that achieves the impossible because he is driven by his passion. I have a passion for life. I want to be the best person that I can be. I am not satisfied by living the fate of others. I’m not fulfilled by living within the mold created by a society that wishes to make everyone alike.

From my passion for life my dreams are born. I will dream big and I will succeed and fail. I will not let my failures stop future attempts and my successes tell me there is still more to do.

Last night I enjoyed a ride on the trainer. My pace was good from the start and my rhythm quickly took shape. I noticed about an hour and ten minutes into my ride that my pace had quickened and I was in a more difficult gear than I started. I was flying and I didn’t want to stop.

My power from within drove me to extend my hour and a half ride to an hour and 45 minutes. I just couldn’t stop on time. I felt too good. I was having too much fun.

Today I feel great. My ride last night did not overburden my muscles. I’ve noticed an insignificant amount of pain in my knees, but even that pain is all but gone. I’m looking forward to a solid two hours in the saddle tonight.

If you are reading this I hope you are having as much fun with life as I am!

Motivators

Today I enjoyed a two-hour bicycle ride through my sunny living room. A new motivator has been added to my living room view shed and that motivator is a photo taken by the one and only Super K (now available with sparkles).

My words can’t adequately describe the beauty of her photograph, but I can at least tell you about the subject matter. The photo depicts a door leaning against a tree in a forest. A bicycle partially covered by a tarp leans against the door. The perspective of the photo is fantastic. I enjoyed many glances at the new photo during my ride.

The ride went very well. My legs feel strong and my stamina has not let me down. By the end of the two hours I was a little sore from the saddle.

Shortly after stepping off of the bike I noticed a pain in my left shin. I’m not concerned about the pain, but it does highlight the fact that I still have much conditioning left to do.

Today I was goal driven for much of my ride. I focused on different parts of New Hampshire that I will be cycling through. I know that I have a long way to go and much training ahead of me, but it is difficult to feel anything but good after a great ride.

Sequoia Fast and I will be riding into the sunset. Chat soon.

Okay, I haven’t had time to blog lately, but no worries.  I’ve continued my adventure with seat time and core exercises.  While I’m traveling this weekend I still have plans to get on the bike.

More to come  – Happy Wednesday.
