B the Bike

Dear loyal readers and those unfortunate enough to stumble upon my semi-regular  musings. Much has happened since I’ve last updated my blog, but I have bad news for everyone – George Bush is still President. Sorry!

I have remained faithful to the bike, with the exception of a cold that knocked me out of the saddle for a week. I enjoyed my first ride back on the bike today and despite one short coughing spasm the ride felt good. I found my pace and the time passed quickly.

Time is a great gift when you have it and a terrible thing to live without. Unfortunately the last month has not provided me with much time to succeed at anything. I have not given my entire attention to riding, my job, searching for a job in North Carolina, selling my house, demonstrating to my family and friends that I value them and most importantly I have not had the time to fully demonstrate my Love for Kelly. This realization has left me with no choice, but to make a tough decision, I’m not going to ride across the state of New Hampshire on Memorial Day week.

Don’t despair oh loyal believers. Naysayers don’t shrug your shoulders and say, “I knew he couldn’t do it.” I’ve made this decision to enhance my chances of success. I am considering the ride for Labor Day week, but I will not make a final decision until I’ve moved home to North Carolina.

I am going to continue riding and I’m going to continue doing a poor job updating my blog. I want to do both, but right now other life issues higher on the priority list are calling my attention. I’ll do my best to keep you all up to date on my progress, but if the choice is to ride or blog about not having the time to ride, well, I think you know what I will choose.

Time to stretch; I have another ride scheduled for tomorrow. Peace!
